Mr. Gustavo A. Pabón Rico obtained a BA in Political Science in 2008 (magna cum laude) and a Juris Doctor (magna cum laude) and MBA in 2011, all from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus.
Prior to completing his Juris Doctor, Mr. Pabón worked as assistant professor in the Graduate School of Business Administration, and in the University of Puerto Rico School of Law for Professor Demetrio Fernández. Mr. Pabón helped prepare the 3rd edition of Professor Fernández’s Derecho Administrativo y Ley de Procedimiento Administrativo Uniforme, a legal treatise on Puerto Rico Administrative Law that has been extensively cited by Puerto Rico’s Supreme Court.
Mr. Pabón joined Reichard & Escalera in 2016 as part of the Litigation and the Labor and Employment Practice Groups. Before joining our firm, Mr. Pabón worked in the Labor and Employment Law Department of one of Puerto Rico’s largest law firms.
His experience includes defending employers in claims of retaliation, discrimination, wrongful termination, constructive dismissal, failure to provide reasonable accommodation, and unpaid wages, among others. Also, he has represented and advised clients on the enforcement of covenants not to compete, confidentiality agreements, termination agreements, and wage and hour compliance.
Mr. Pabón is admitted to practice before the Courts of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and the United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico. Also, he is a member of the American Bar Association (ABA).
