Mr. Ortiz is an associate at the Firm’s Corporate Practice Group. He obtained a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in finance from the University of Puerto Rico, at Mayagüez; a J.D. from the Inter American University of Puerto Rico School of Law; and an LL.M. in Securities and Financial Regulation from Georgetown University Law Center.
Mr. Ortiz focuses his practice in advising clients on general corporate matters, including corporate governance, M&As, contract drafting, real estate, securities, corporate and public finance, as well as on federal and local regulatory matters in connection with banks and other financial institutions. He also deals with ensuring that our clients are up-to-date when it comes to recent developments on legislation relevant to their businesses.
In addition, Mr. Ortiz provides support on major corporate applications, filings and other matters involving foreign and domestic clients seeking to organize, establish, operate, or otherwise engage in any commercial activity in Puerto Rico.
Mr. Ortiz is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, New York, the District of Columbia (Washington, DC) and Florida.
